Trip to Horn Mountain 10/23/2018

Well in the Morning i will be going on a walk about checking out some new area well kind of, i have camped there before but i have never followed the creek bed back and been wanting to do that.
I will be taking my camera with me so hopefully i will have some video and pictures to share. God Bless Y'all.

Just some rambling

Just wanted to show this picture, but also a friend of mine by the name of David Kralik who's blog i love to read, but today he was talking about why he dose a blog, so i thought i would to.
I am getting older and i have lot's of family i may never know but one day they may want to see what my life was all about.
Not that my life is something most would not care about, most of my life has been spent in the woods or at home doing things that need to be done, But my woods time is what i love to talk about.
I believe that is were i want to be and what i think about most the time other than the Lord, but that is another reason i like to go to the wilderness is for some alone time with my God.
I am of the Irish blood or so i was told and my great grandmother was full blooded Cherokee so i guess i have some native blood in me also, and when i am out in the woods ether walking the trap line, Hunting, or just wondering, i can't stop from thinking if maybe my ancestors may have been doing some of this and just maybe they will smile down on me.
I have been studying on wild edibles and Medicine i guess that would be part of my native American heritage coming out of me, but also i find that the more i am out in the wilderness the easier it is to live with the land.
I have found that wildlife can tell you things such as were to find water or if someone is around your area, i can smell things better, hear better while out in the woods.
My believe is that the wilderness is really were we all belong, Not in these houses not ruled by Government but being free.
A writer i am not but maybe i can help someone in life weather it be family or just a weary Traveler.

We Have Made It Back From The Mountains.

Just wanted everyone to know we made it back from Dugger Mountain in northeast Alabama.
I do have a video that i am uploading as of now.
We had a blast on this trip had some great fellowship with some old friends and made some new friends.
If you are not a member of southeast bushcraft basecame please go and check us out we are a hands on Face Book group, when i say hands on i mean we get out and do things in the outdoors.
We have some great folks in the group that love helping other like mined people learn all about our hobby or way of life, we don't just run the key board we do what we say, if this sounds like a group of people you would like to be apart of then we will be glad to have you.
We are a Christian based group with a lot of love to give so please come on over and join us.

getting ready to hit the mountains in northeast Alabama. Dugger Mountain

Hey everyone if you seen my last post i said that we were going to this beautiful place, well i been getting ready all week.
We are going to leave north Ga. Friday night about 5 PM, should put us there about 7:00 PM Bama time. hope to have more video or at least pictures for you to ponder over.
