Well from the tidal you know i am going to talk about Hatchets and Tomahawks, I think both are good choice, but i feel now this is what i think that the Tomahawk is a better tool for me.
Now why i think it is better for me is i am a trapper so i need a chopping tool but at the same time i need a fleshing tool while i am camping on the trap line, And the tomahawk dose both well.
I can chop small limbs for stakes yes i know a hatchet will do the same thing But i can take the head off the tomahawk and use it for a fleshing tool, also it is good for cleaning game if need be can be used as a knife.
And another plus is if i break the handle it want be hard to make one while in the field, and also can be used as a draw knife.
Another use is as a weapon yes a weapon if you hold it close to the head with the blade facing out and the handle sticking up you can slice with it or use the handle to hit with, and if good enough you can throw it at your enemy but i would never throw my weapon away like that.
Now the hatchet if you break the handle you have to go back to town for a new handle or new hatchet, the head can not be removed as to use it for fleshing of hides now i have gutted fish with a hatchet i just think the tomahawk is better for that task, anyway there you have it what i like about a tomahawk.
